Great video topic, Josh! There is a place in GR called “Comprenew” that recycles all kinds of e-waste for free. My students collected over 3,000lbs of used and broken electronics this winter. The organization is affiliated with Worldwide Christian Schools and serves to refurbish and re-sell computers and electronics as well as recycle all sorts of e-waste. Check out the BC-900 AlphaPower battery charger. It takes the mystery out of charging, and extends the life of the batteries. comes with 4 AA and 4 AAA for about $45 on Amazon.

I’ve had ‘freshly charged’ batteries die on me, whichI hope this device saves me from having happen. I just got it last week.

Here are some places in GR that accept fluorescent bulbs (Home Depot participates in bulb recycling, but you’d have to check with the local one to make sure):

Vlogging week is always fun. FYI – you can bring those batteries to Sunday dinner. I will bring them to Ada Christian where we have been making it easy for students and parents to reclycle batteries for years. We also take ink cartriges.
