Hi I have been to Albania and the number of strays is far worse than in other countries that i have visited including, Turkey, Greece, spain & America. The situation is hurrendous. The animals are viewed as vermin not pets and beacause there are no tourists to feed them they just starve to death. Local people go out and shoot them for fun and the government do not run any neutering programmes or animals shelters. Unless you have been to Albania then you mustn’t comment and say it is not that bad as it is hurrendous.

I have seen that many streets dogs in my home country !!

Here in the USA I have to deal with squirrels, skunks, raccons, mice, ground hogs, deer . . .

I saw the same thing with dogs in mexico. My mexican friends laughed at me while i took pictures of each dog i saw (towards the end i just took pictures of the ones that moved me… my computer didn’t have enough space). It just saddened me that they didn’t see the value of the life of a dog the way we look at it here in the states. They had no problem kicking the dog if it walked too close to them… even if it was on a leash. Thank you so much for this video… it really touched me.

What an excellent video. I have the feeling that your cutting, timing and filming has improved a lot over the last couple of months. May I asked how much time you have spent in cutting and producing this piece?

And why didn’t you tell anyone in your blog about this trip? Or did I simply miss that? I was in Budapest last year and liked it a lot. And if you like Budapest, you have to go Vienna. You gonna love it.

Actually, I am not that surprised about those animal abuses in Albania. This country has many other issues, but it is really sad, that they treat animals like this.

I agree with those who said that the US is not free from animal and human rights abuses…..

The reason you don’t see as many strays in Michigan is because they are euthanized in shelters after they are picked up. Well, that and we have good sterilization programs here. I don’t know which is worse, animals that are strays and starving or animals that are dead.

It’s a hard call to make and I’m glad I don’t have to decide.
