Yeah! First one, at least I think… Anyway, they don’t make pants my size either! I’m 5’0 with a somewhat bigger waist. All the pants I see in stores are made for people taller than me. I can’t find any pants my size unless I visit the preteen section and then the waist is too small so I’m screwed. I’m lucky if I find any pants that fit me.

Cheese balls. I can live w/o. Never had a white castle burger here, but hey we don’t even have a Target in Hawaii so what can I say.

Great post Josh! Keep them coming!

    Alohas,

Planters Cheese Balls were discontinued according to a second hand source that found this info on there website.

According to numerous people Cheetos Asteroids are a very close substitute maybe a little more cheesy and can be found in little 100cal snack packs or bags all over the place. A few websites even sell the snack pack boxes for like $2.50. Do a google search for “Cheetos Asteroids” to find a supplier if you can’t get them local.

Here is the a link to the very famous clone series of books recipe for white castle burgers. Trust me dude they are darn close if not a little better. http://www.batemania.com/recipes/061200.html

Here is a link for one of many sites offering really custom pant sizes that do offer a 30-34 as an option. http://www.hickoryridgedesigns.com/pants-flat.htm I used the google search “30-34 pants” to gain this result.

Good luck with this info and if you try any of the stuff video blog your findings :)

Nicely done. I think that your pants problem/complaint would be best taken care of by first solving the latter two problems/complaints. If you ate more Cheez balls and White Castle cheeseburgers, you might gain enough weight to change your waistline…Good luck with all that! Let us know if anything changes!

  4. Laura Moncur says:

    Great video, Josh.

Regarding the pants issue, the most liberating thing is to create your own clothing. A sewing machine can be had for less than 100 bucks at WalMart. You have the power to create pants. Pants are quite simple. You can start with a pattern and move on to your own creations.

The clothing manufacturers only make the sizes that sell in large quantities. You have the power within your hands to beat them.

    Have fun!

  5. Oh yeah – I know what you mean about the pants! I ALWAYS have baggy pants, because the pants makers think tall dudes are also fat dudes. I’m not fat! Just 6’2″! Make me some pants, too!

  6. Philippe says:

Amen on the pants. I wear 36″38. I’m 6’6. Finding pants is impossible.

  7. Trevor says:

    BRING ON THE PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Josh, I have a one word solution for your pants problem: nudism!

No more shopping headaches, and your vlogs would attract a much wider audience!!

  9. Nick Schmidt says:

I concur on the Cheese balls.

and while castle .. yea.. well start opening more greesy restaurants!!

  10. What a wonderful video!! I have a pants problerm too. Size small is to small, size medium is to big. It’s rare that I find a pair that does not require alteration.

The manufacturers are missing the boat with people like us.

  11. nniiccoollee says:

LOL – We’ve got a White Castle here in Jackson… Comin to GR tomorrow, so I’ll be sure to bring some for ya!

Oh and those dang pants! It’s even worse for chicks! We don’t get waist and length, just size! Even worse!

    Great site, Josh

  12. Anthony says:

Nobody does a rant like Josh Leo. Awesome!
As for pants. I don’t know if you like the GAP but I used to work at one many years ago and those sizes were usually available in store and if not you could definitely ask for them and they will order them for you. I am pretty sure they are available online from them at any time. I’d even bet that other clothing stores do likewise.

    I remember those cheese balls.

White Castles…..there is nothing like it to fulfill those late night cravings. If we are honest we know it is not quality food but it is nice to have one around. I’ve been away from a local white castles for about 10 years. Now I live only a couple of miles away from one. Sliders with bacon and a side of mozzarella sticks….yum.

  13. Dooser says:

pants: i feel ya, i’m in the same boat.

haha…the ‘cheese balls in a can!’ startled my cat.

  14. I’m completely with you on the pants. Shirts are a big problem too. Either the sleeves are too short and the torso fits well or the sleeves are long enough but the torso is super wide. You know what I mean? That’s rough.

  15. Beth says:

Oh my goodness! I had almost forgotten about Cheese Balls. Way to go – now I totally want some!

  16. My complaint is againt dieting…..cause whenever I start to diet every resturant has specials that I LOVE….

  17. Nate says:

If you need to get rid of any 30X32s, I’ll take them! And what’s with all the 32X30 pants? It makes me dyslexic sometimes…

The other option: in the spirit of the DIY lifestyle, tall skinny people like us need to start making our own pants. Just imagine all the superfluous pockets we could create! Or kilts, maybe? You’re having the groomsmen wear kilts, right?

  18. Diana Barry Blythe says:

    About the pants
1)Buy pants that fit in the legs and have the waist tailored at your local cleaners or department store
    2)Shop at Big & Tall
    3) Have a local seamstress make your pants

  19. Diana Barry Blythe says:

About any clothing off the rack
Fit the widest/longest part of you first then tailor the parts that are too big.

  20. Clintus says:

I’m with you on the pants man. I wear a 34×34 and for some reason all the 34 lengths aren’t the same. The tag says that their 34s but for some reason half my pants are just a bit too short. I hate it! As for the cheese puffs, I’ll have to look but I think we still have those here in AZ, not a big fan of em anyway but I’ll check just for you. And I’ve never had a White Castle before. Growing up In n Out burger was the top dawg but we had to go to CA for them. Now we have them all over the place here.Love it!

  21. missb says:

Damn pants! Always causing problems. Here’s a somewhat weird suggestion. Buy women’s jeans. Wait! Stay with me on this one: buy women’s “boyfriend” cut jeans (which are really just man-jeans with slimmer hips but wide legs) at The Gap or J Crew or whathaveyou. Girl jeans frequently come in long sizes (I think the “tall” pants at J Crew are 34″) and always in smaller waist sizes than Man jeans.

    I miss cheese balls, too.

  22. taxiplasm says:

dude! -don’t get me started on pants! -I’m always working and running around and a broke college student which means all I can do is lose weight – so my waist is running lower than a 28 right now and my length is close to 32 -so I’ll buy the 30×32 and I end up wearing down my belt so much and I sit down and there’s this weird pants tent all the way around because their bunched up so much on the waist! -it kills me every time!

  23. Sarah says:

My roommate, Jolene, and I watched your blog and she was convinced that it’s possible to buy your size in Canada and probably the US too. So she made it her mission to find them for you. I was doubtful because my boyfriend, who is also talll and skinny, says your size doesn’t exist. But – Jolene and I went to the mall yesterday. We tried Men’s Express because Express is generally good for tall skinny people. The guy there said they don’t have them, but that we should check American Eagle. At American Eagle, Jolene found out that they don’t stock them in the stores usually but they do exist and can be ordered for you. So there you go – American Eagle.
p.s. I’ve seen your coffee pot on the stove in a couple of vlogs and I like it because I have one like that too.

  24. Jana says:

“Dontcha hate pants?” – Homer Simpson

I have a pants problem, too – I have a small waist, too and I always have that “bunch” at the waist when I wear a belt. I didn’t know that there was a boy out there who couldn’t easily find pants that fit.

White Castle – I grew up in Western Michigan and moved to Chicago… I thought White Castle was something that you only saw in movies and tv shows – I didn’t know that they really existed. Same thing with Dairy Queen, Jack in the Box and southside chicago accents.
