Yay publicity--indeed, this should get more people thinking about alternative media.

The big question at this point: what happens when they start to confront you with offers of "Wood TV 8 videoblogging correspondant"? While vlogging is still surviving as a lifestyle at this point, I'm predicting that mass media conglomerates are coniving some sort of plan to draw newer videobloggers into their exploitative schemes: the netizen journalist freelancing for the big time corporations, people so starved for short-term fame that they'll give away their stories for the chance to get large-scale coverage on the net, and mass media will reap the rewards.

It happened before...America's Funniest Home Videos, anyone? All videos on the show became the sole property of Vin Di Bona productions--a $10,000 weekly prize was nothing compared to the immense advertising profits.

We might own our voices, but mass media giants still know how to take them away from us and make money on them...

It's not just vlogging, it is a lifestyle. You have made an important lifestyle choice.
Josh Leo, I comprehend, even bleed for, your lifestyle. Stay strong, voice of Michigan, voice of America, voice of The World.

Don't listen to Gena.. get the hair cut.
I shouldn't talk my hair is long that I keep it in a pony tail at band practice.
If you want it shaggy then stay shaggy.

And she said you were hot!
Thanks again for all you do to share your life, to share Michigan, but also to share with others about video blogging.
Congrats on the TV spot.

Congrats on the recognition and the engagement. But don't listen to Eddie - some of us like it shaggy. Not to say that your hair is shaggy. I would say that it frames your face perfectly.

Keep it rolling.
