Castle Rock has an amazing view of the water. My girlfriend and I stopped there 2 summers ago and made the hike up, good stuff!

    Hey Josh,
Oscar here, of freshtopia.net – you’re making me miss home. I’ve been living in exile here in CA for a couple years now, and at the moment I’m especially missing MI’s native-influenced names – kalkaska, kewenau, washtenaw, ishpeming. Here in California half of everything is named after a spanish saint. San Leandro, San Rafael, San Anselmo, San Luis Abispo… Californians must be a very holy people, though they seem to keep it to themselves.

    All the best,
    Oscar

Been up there a few times. The Mackinaw scares the daylights out of me. Beautiful country though.

I know this is cliche but it really is a small world. We’re so close yet at the same time, we lead such different lives.

For instance, when I need a map, i go to google maps but when you need a map, you drive up to a shittily painted half assed map on the side of the road.

    Fascinating.

    ps i loved the video

    Great video Josh.
The shots you use make it look like there was a TV crew with you, as there’s continuity between some of them. Nice. Plus the narrative how you show all th ‘huge objects’ is very entertaining. I enjoyed this video very much!

    Hi Josh,
What is the title of your theme song/intro music? I caught a snippet of it in the mall today.

Thanks for the tour Josh, I’ve been to the U.P. once a long time ago, beautiful country and now I know that they have awsome big attractions too. Love the work.

I want to go on a roadtrip! So fun!

Josh, what were you propping the camera on in a few of those shots? Did you use a tri-pod?

Great VLOG! Thanks for the tour but you MISSED one thing! Just before the bridge, Michigan has the worlds largest cross! It’s worth the stop and would be a good addition to your video.
