Oh please, don't tell me Blog/Vlog comment boxes are the new way for spammers to spread their virus....

Anyway, Josh, great video. I love videos that show how to do stuff, and I love mangoes and you did a great job. I'm going to apply this method next time. I have been using a mother-in-law taught method which involved using a potato peeler to peel the mango first, then to the criss/cross square cutting down to the pit, then slice down right next to the pit and it releases all the squares into the bowl, but I think your method is cleaner, at least for a less ripe mango. I think if the mango is over ripe, too soft, the other method may be better.

Also, here's a recipe for Mango Sticky Rice, which is a great thing to do with the mango squares! You can find sticky (glutenous) rice at most asian food markets:

cheers and happy mango-ing!

I'm SO glad you did that! I just discovered Mangoes this summer (no idea what took me so long) and I always make a slimy, slicey mess of it and lose mucho mango in the process.

Fabulous trick!

must go to fruit stand now...

I usually just eat them off the skin instead of putting them into a bowl. You get more flavour that way! Plus, it saves you from having to wash the bowl!
