I liked the long train shot too. Especially how you could see your reflection.

Also liked the lights seen outside the train window.

Jay should get a season pass to the Emire State Building.

You had me at, “well I’m glad you came.”

Very emotional.

whew, this is a beauty my man.

that S&G tune gets me – can’t go wrong with that.
(tough call between that and my other sweet favorite NYC song – Harry Nilsson, “I Guess the Lord Must Be in New York City”)

also reminds me of when i was there for Vloggercon in january, and andrew baron took me up to the Empire and saw me off too… all in all that trip made a deep emotional imprint on me, and i know from this video the same thing happened to you.

You’ve captured so many tiny snapshots of whatever it is we seek in vlogging: “truth”, “reality”, “realness.” Simple emotional honesty.

But in three minutes and seven seconds–and at 320×240 pixels, no less–I recognize:

- anticipation of the last stop on a trip one wishes didn’t have to end
- the raw, formal beauty of the NY subway
- the quietness of being someplace bigger than one’s self
- the rhythms of the masculine farewell ritual
- and the window seat reflection upon a trip that has left one changed

Momentous, I’d call it.
