Music Across the Miles

Phil Hamilton lives Near Boston in Massachussets, I live in Grand Rapids Michigan. When I saw that he played mandolin, I immediatley wanted to somehow collaborate musically. Well, we did more than that, and added video into the picture. This is is the result of our efforts, it is not perfect, but fun none the less. (For all of you who were wondering, that is a Mountain Dulcimer that I am playing.)

Cool dude. I’m adding some guitar tracks and I’ll let you know when it’s done. It’s an incentive for me to actually get around to figuring out the video in video thing.

  19. Hey that was awesome. I’ve been wanting to do something similar for years, but I can’t play any instruments or sing :-(

This is the future of music. Bands like Delerium have been doing this for at least 5 years now (assembling their music without ever meeting in person).

  20. maximilian says:

Great idea and really well executed.

  21. Love it. It would be interesting to hear what your process was for making this piece, just in case other folks want to try vlog music performance collaborations, but don’t know how to go about it.

  22. Ian says:
