Phil Hamilton lives Near Boston in Massachussets, I live in Grand Rapids Michigan. When I saw that he played mandolin, I immediatley wanted to somehow collaborate musically. Well, we did more than that, and added video into the picture. This is is the result of our efforts, it is not perfect, but fun none the less. (For all of you who were wondering, that is a Mountain Dulcimer that I am playing.)

A-fucking-MAZING -blew my mind not only technically but also the music!! like chris said – you guys rock!
well done. good exercise. one of my favorite collaborative concepts.
Cool dude. I’m adding some guitar tracks and I’ll let you know when it’s done. It’s an incentive for me to actually get around to figuring out the video in video thing.
aww. you boys have skeeeeelz.
i want in on this! …except i have no musical talent, whatsoever. okay nevermind. i’ll just keep listening to this.
i think that was the sweetest thing i’ve ever heard. i want in on this so bad, but the clint guy already got dibs on a guitar track, damn! great job you guys!
Fantastic stuff. Musicians without borders.
I just came across your blog today. VERY TALENTED!. Look forward to seeing more:)

I’m crying tears of joy, laughter nad hapiness all at once!
And that circle insert! It’s the best.
Boy, I remember trying to do this ages ago wtih CuSeeMe and a b&w quickcam. The sync was terrible back then…looks like it works much better now! Did you use iChat to do this?
Anyhow, great, great, great!
That was great!! The harmonica punch-in really makes it.
There is no way I am ever deleting this from my ANT playlist. Way to go!!
Wow, I’m speechless this is amazing. I’d like to take this one step further and use the song as a back drop to my next v-log. I’ve sent both of you emails.
Cool Beans!
That was really good. I was wondering what hosting company you use for your videos? Really like your work and your movies. Good job.
That is so cool.

Hey that was awesome. I’ve been wanting to do something similar for years, but I can’t play any instruments or sing
This is the future of music. Bands like Delerium have been doing this for at least 5 years now (assembling their music without ever meeting in person).
Great idea and really well executed.
Love it. It would be interesting to hear what your process was for making this piece, just in case other folks want to try vlog music performance collaborations, but don’t know how to go about it.
Great video. I actually thought it was funny too when the harmonica appeared.

Josh your talents never cease to amaze me. Great work my friend.
