The Bavarian Alps sure are worth a visit, I must point out, though, that visiting the Eagle's Nest is pretty chliché for an American. The British visit a little village called "F***ing" in Austria, the Japanese go to Neuschwanstein. Seeing as you are a devoted christian, you might find some of the churches in the area interesting. That goes for Austria and Bavaria generally, I'd say. Jupp. the weather finally is what it should be.
